A logic puzzle in three dimensions
Read the clues.
Carve the cube.
Reveal the shape.
Carve is a 3D nonogram puzzle game where you chip away blocks using pure logic — and watch a hidden voxel sculpture emerge with every solve. No guessing. No pressure. Just the quiet satisfaction of a puzzle clicking into place.
Every block is a decision
Like a picross or nonogram grid — but sculpted in three dimensions.

1
Read
Every face carries a number: how many blocks in that row belong to the hidden shape. The clues are all you need.
-
2
Carve
Chip away the blocks that can't belong, mark the ones that must stay. One careful cut at a time — never a guess.
-
3
Reveal
The last cut lands and a tiny handcrafted sculpture appears — a cat, a torii gate, an elephant, and 200 more.
Carved, not filled in
Solve with clean, readable clues — then watch the reveal.

Questions, answered
Everything you might want to know before your first cut.
What is a 3D nonogram?
A nonogram — also called picross, griddler, or hanjie — is a logic puzzle where numbers along each row and column tell you which cells belong to a hidden picture. A 3D nonogram moves that idea into three dimensions: the clues sit on the faces of a solid block of cubes, and instead of filling cells in, you carve blocks away until a sculpture is left behind.
How is Carve different from regular picross?
Flat picross gives you a grid and you fill in squares to make a 2D picture. In Carve you start with a solid block and remove cubes, and you can rotate the whole puzzle to read clues from any side. The result is a small 3D voxel sculpture rather than a flat image — and the extra dimension means clues from different faces constrain each other.
Is every Carve puzzle solvable without guessing?
Yes. Every one of the 200 puzzles is solvable by pure deduction. There is always a next block you can prove belongs or doesn't belong from the clues alone — so you never need to guess or back out of a coin flip.
Is Carve free?
Carve is free to download, and Chapter 1 — First Cuts, 30 puzzles — is free to play. The remaining chapters unlock individually or all at once with a one-time Unlock All purchase. There's no subscription and no recurring charge, and your purchases restore across your devices.
How many puzzles does Carve have?
200 handcrafted puzzles across six chapters: First Cuts (30), Deeper Cuts (30), Masterworks (40), Grand Works (30), Colossi (30) and Titans (40). They grow in size and difficulty as you go, from small first cuts to large multi-layer titans.
Can I play Carve offline?
Yes. Every puzzle is included in the app itself, so once Carve is installed you can play anywhere — on a plane, on the subway, or with no signal at all.
Are there timers or a limit on how long I can play?
No. There are no timers, no lives, no energy meter, no pressure of any kind. Leave a puzzle half-carved and come back to it whenever you like.
Do I need to be good at puzzles to play Carve?
No. Chapter 1 starts with small puzzles that teach the logic step by step, so you can pick it up with no nonogram experience at all. The difficulty climbs gradually across the six chapters — your deduction skills grow with the puzzles.
200 sculptures are waiting.
Whether you've got five minutes or an hour, Carve rewards a clear head and a bit of patience.
